One thing I noticed I’ve been doing more and more is to stop speaking before I’ve given all the details to a story (or whatever). I’ve given enough detail to give you the gist of what was going on but not quite enough to really round out the story and make it complete. And what’s you get in that gap is this weird awkward silence as the other party tries to figure out if you’re finished speaking.
The end.
Ok, so there was more to this post than what I wrote up top, but after some consideration, I decided it was too much like a rant and I didn’t want to post it. So I cut the post down to the opening paragraph. And then I thought it was funny and decided not to do another take on the post.
The end.
For reals, even though I still haven’t really given you enough details to round out the story and make it complete.
