Postcard swap!  This swap is pretty much the same thing as postcrossing.  Heh.

This postcards is on it’s way to Texas via swap-bot, particularly for this swap.  The recipient is apparently a deltiologist and part of her collection includes postcards of cities along with the name of the city in the front.  I have a few of those in my collection and I thought maybe she’d like this one, even though it’s not really a city but a small island.  I’m not even sure what’s on the island.  I’ve never been to the Bahamas before.  It doesn’t really seem like a place I’d like anyway.

Stamp watch!

Exact postage!  I should probably start finding some interesting stamps to put on these things if I’m going to continue with the stamp watch.

Remember Bruce?

I’ve recently developed a bit of a fascination with sharks.  I’m not sure why.  I never particularly liked them as a child or anything.  I just…developed a liking for them.  And I wanted to try and draw sharks.

The problem is, I have no idea how to draw sharks.  I have never tried drawing a shark before.  I know they’re vaguely bullet shaped and such, but I can’t really think of how I can draw a bullet and then transform it into a shark.  Actually, I’m not sure if I’ve ever tried drawing a bullet before.  Maybe that’s part of my problem.

Anyway, I’m trying to learn how to draw sharks.  Here’s what I have so far from various tutorials I’ve found on the web and also from just farting around and seeing what I could come up with looking at a picture.

Bloated shark

Happy shark

Cartoony shark

Sketchy shark who may also be happy

I obviously have problems with proportions and I don’t really know how to draw tails.  The weird shading from the first shark was me playing with various brushes in my sketch program.  Bloated shark probably has some weird skin disease.  And why do my sharks always look happy?  I’m sure sharks in the wild are not always happy.
